Well, Hermes Beeper is similiar to Adam Watson's ChatMan and Pat Padgett's PowerPager. Personally, I think ChatMan is the best and wish Adam would release it for Hermes II. So what does Hermes Beeper do? Well, it is similiar to PowerPager except that it is a little bit better in some respect.
What do you get from Hermes Beeper?
1) A "BEEP" sound that will alert the Sysop when a User is requesting a Chat.
2) It also recognizes Sysop's Availability hours as well.
3) Next, it allows the user to enter a REASON similiar to both ChatMan and
PowerPager which is recorded in the logs.
4) Allows a User the option to Email the Sysop if he is not available for chatting.

For more information, contact me on the Hermes Support board as User #301, Charles Amet. This is my uncle, but he will relay the message to me.
Note, I do not guarantee that this software is bug free. Use this external at your own risk. My only hope is that it is useful to you.
If you have suggestions and or ideas for this or another external, please let me know. I can program; however, coming up with ideas is another story. Most of my ideas and/or suggestions are being placed into Hermes II v2.0.
Here are some suggestions that I have…
1) Mail by classification
2) Mail by restriction
3) Sysop Hours which can be set for individual days of the week along with individual
time slots.
Thanks to Keith and Karl Klein, Charles Amet, Michael Isreali, Michael Cappriotti, Adam Watson, Lloyd Woodall, Robert Rebbun, and Sam Shafritz. Excuse any names being mispelled, just email me if they are. Thanks again!

If you use this more than 5 days, then you are obligated to send in the SHAREWARE fee. I would appreciate it if you did since I am a college student in graduate school trying to get my masters degree. Right at the moment, I am broke and my refrigerator is looking quite bare from those late night programming sessions. So, send what you can.
